Post Placeholder

Posted By on November 10, 2009

I had a really funny post to put here. I wrote it all out today at work on my lunch break and then saved it and planned to email it to myself. But then I forgot and now I’m like “I can’t recreate that! Now what will I write?”

See, I have a funny time of day. A time where I’m more creative and my writing is at its best. This time is generally in the later afternoon and evening. It’s why I write my blog posts at night. Because in the morning, I can’t even speak without drooling, let alone be witty and creative. But come afternoon, boy watch out! I can hit you with the zingers! SHAZAM!

And now I’m sure I’m building the already-written post up to be so awesome, when in reality it probably isn’t and mostly, I’m just lazy and I don’t want to even attempt to re-create it when, oh, IT IS ALREADY WRITTEN. And I took a Benedryl. And Benedryl is a killer of the funny time. Because Benedryl = drooling time.

But stay tuned tomorrow night! I shall tell you all about my drunken weekend! Rhi was in town! And we drank all the wine in Chicago! And looked at wedding dresses (for her)! And I met a cop!

Who I’m totally smitten with! And I may be overly excited about the idea of seeing him in his uniform. WHEN he calls. (See, I’m trying to be positive! No ifs! Just WHENS!) (Also, seriously, what is it about cops that makes them inherently sexy?) (Oh, just me then?)

So instead, you tell me Internet, do you have a funny time? Or a more creative time? Distract me from my phone! And its whole not ringing business!

Definitely afternoon/evening for me. I can’t fathom how some folks can write in the AM before work, I even try to avoid emailing 1st thing b/c writing anything before 10 AM is fraught with confusion and befuddlement.

And if you ever see a post on my blog dated early in the morning you can be rest assured that had been written the night before and set to post the next morning!

I am funniest when I am most incapable of reaching some form of paper and pencil. You will find bits of paper with 8 words scratched upon them. The title of some post that MUST be written. Whatever…

You know what REALLY sucks about this aging thing? I was actually AT MY DESK. And I wanted to write a BRILLIANT post! And I was ready and everything. I checked my emails for no more than 67 seconds? And I FORGOT THE POST . 100%. Gone. Pffftt!!

My absolutely most creative time is when I am fully in the throws of a migraine, which is plainly evil. I am in too much pain to be able to look at or do anything and yet I am too driven by the creativity to LET. IT. GO. So there I am feverishly doing whatever it is with an ice pack on my neck in the dimmest light I possibly can get by with in absolute silence. It BLOWS.

  5. Oh, I can’t wait to hear about the cop! I loved your Twitter updates about him.

I write at night and then schedule it to post in the morning. It’s a good thing I’m a SAHM, because I am totally useless before 9 am.

I am never creative, hence my lack of a blog!! But I feel like my best writing time would be smack in the middle of a workday….

My best writing time is at night. But then, all my good stuff happens at night – mostly I just have to hope I’m awake for it.

Men in uniform are amazing aren’t they? Is it the authority thing? I’m not sure, but bring on the fire fighters and the cops! I once put on makeup before going outside my apartment to see what all the sirens were about (someone turned too fast and their car was on it’s side) was it terrible of me, probably, but wow those fire fighters were worth the trouble!

I can’t wait to hear all about it when he does call. Like I said before…uniforms – RAWR!

  12. It’s the uniform. LOVE a man in uniform. Dear Mr. Dizzy was a volunteer firefighter for 20 years, and whenever he would put on his dress uniform, well – – *sigh* – –

Yeah, it’s DEFINITELY the uniform! 🙂
