At last year’s BlogHer I accidentally hit a pickup truck’s side with a cab door while drunk. The truck driver was not happy, but instead of coming after me, he went after the cab driver. After much yelling in the middle of the street the cab driver convinced the other guy the dent had been there all along. He then quickly got back in the driver seat and we sped away as he yelled at me for being an idiot. Moral of the story is that maybe you should take cabs with me so I do something stupid and the cabbie thinks you’re an idiot by association and doesn’t ask for your number.

Maybe he’s a rich guy posing as a cabbie.

I know someone who got the singing cabbie in Chicago once. Thank gawd it wasn’t me.

Too bad his first name started with A!

What is up with calling to find out if you gave him a real number? If you did give him a fake number, what’s the point of demanding the real one? Like you will think, Oh I didn’t like him enough to give him my real number but now that he has found that out I guess I will be forced to go out with him?
