I think it’s great that you wouldn’t change a thing…so often I feel like I stayed at my first job too long, and thus started the “rest” of my life too late. But you know what? There’s nothing I can do about it at this point! And I love hearing your stories from that job.

On the one hand, I totally agree with you. I know there are things that I need to “have gone through”.

But, I have to be honest. I wish I could tell my 22 year old self “just wait, things can always get worse”.

That’s so awful, but it’s the truth (at least for right now).

Ha! You are right, I do like to tease you but it’s only because I love hearing your sweet giggle! I can’t believe that it’s been ten years – and I’m NOT OLD, by the way! We had lots of fun back then. We made lasting memories, learned a lot and most of all have enduring friendships!

Oh goodness, first jobs are just plain CRAZY. There are so many emotions and fears and worries, but it's kind of nice to reflect back on it all now. I worked for a senior Congressman and felt similar awe at the people I was sharing the elevator with. What a lovely and thoughtful post. I don't have such a stellar memory like yours, but sometimes I look back at my younger self and think the same thing, that I wish I could tell her to make some other decision or to take life a little less seriously.
