I think they look great with the pants you have them shown with . . . i have a pair of sandals that are cute on the tops and you can't wear them with wider leg pants since the pants just end up covering the shoes. They're best with skinnies, or a slight boot cut like you've got going on here. Or capris or skirts! I think they'd look great with either. I'm sort of startled that anyone thinks they look weird . . . but I guess I do live in the city of year round sandals! :D I keep almost buying those sandals at Target.
