She lived on the outskirts of the city, and me all the way in the burbs — and we would be on the phone through the ENTIRE Cubs game, just to giggle and talk about how his butt looked as he covered first base. I hear you on the shower thing. I really like being clean but I hate having to take the time to shower. I could also totally join the "I have not ever seen the Godfather movies" and, finally, I am IN LOVE with the snuggie and TOTALLY WANT ONE. The commercial kind of gives me hives because it feels like one of those "make a million dollars on the internet just by breathing! Get your training kit now for just ninety seven dollars!" websites, but I am in love with the idea of being able to turn the pages of my book or eat some food without having to completely rearrange my blanket. As a kid, we went to sporting events all the time. Baseball, football, T&F, gymnastics, you name it. My parents taught me to keep score in baseball very early on, and I loved going to baseball games! Football, now that's a different story. Nobody explained what was going on. It was just line up, fall down. Long break. Line up, fall down. Repeat. I was SO BORED. In high school, at one of our football games, one of my girlfriends explained the game to me. AH, FINALLY!! I could follow what was going on! Since then, I love watching football games, particularly collegiate. And do I explain what's going on to my kids? You betcha. Every sport we watch. You can tell I read all the way to the end of your list... 'cause I love ya! (Even though I haven't commented in a long time.) barbras last blog post..Change
